Detonating Cord

CordGradient2.jpg

Britacord is a family of high explosive detonating cords used for the initiation of blast patterns in both underground and surface mines as the primary explosive force in many applications. Such uses include dimension stone industry, industrial cleaning services, construction, trenching, seismic surveying, and trim blasting. Available in a wide range of sizes with specific colors for easy identification and has a PVC outer coating making it nonabrasive and impervious to water.

Product Sizes:
18 grain/foot
- 1 spool (3,280 feet)
25 grain/foot - 1 spool (2,460 feet)
50 grain/foot - 1 spool (1,640 feet)
100 grain/foot - 1 spool (820 feet)
200 grain/foot - 1 spool (492 feet)
400 grain/foot - 1 spool (328 feet)
500 grain/foot - 1 spool (262 feet)

Detonators

Electric-dets.jpg

Broad range of detonators used to precisely initiate an individual or sequence of larger explosive products. Electric and non-electric detonators come in various lengths and delays for a variety of blasting applications. Non-electric detonators can be single ended or dual element units with different options for connectors. Fuse caps are detonators without initiation allowing the end user to configure with safety fuse, shock tube or electric match.

Variations:
Lengths from 12 ft to 500 ft
Delays from instant to 10 seconds
Single and dual non-electric configurations
Standard and high strength non-electric caps
With and without plastic connectors
Typically packaged as 1.4B

Initiators

These devices use various methods to ignite safety fuse, shock tube, or thermotube. Typically they contain a very small amount of a low explosive that is initiated by either mechanical means (friction or impact) or by electrical means (small battery). The low explosive then ignites the black powder in the safety fuse or the explosive powder in the shock tube or thermotube in order to transmit the initiation signal to non-electric detonator or fuse cap which in turn initiates a much higher explosive or series of explosives.

Products:
1090 Fuse Igniters
2020 Fuse Lighters
M81 Fuse Lighters
Electric Matches

Shock Tube / Thermo Tube / Safety Fuses

This category of products are used to transmit an initiation signal from a safe distance to a non-electric detonator or fuse cap. Shock tube provides maximum flexibility to the blaster in choosing a position of safety from which to initiate nonelectric detonators. While similar, Thermo Tube operates differently from standard shock tube products by using a high temperature pyrotechnic compound allowing for non-hazmat transportation. Safety Fuse is a slow burning initiation method with a user defined delay based on the length of the fuse.

Products:
Shock Tube - 2500 feet per spool, 2 spools per box
Thermo Tube - 2500 feet per spool, 2 spools per box
Safety Fuse - 250 meter per spool, 4 spools per box

Boosters

Cast boosters are detonator sensitive, high density, high energy explosives available in various sizes designed to optimize initiation of all booster sensitive explosives. Designed to be initiated by electric detonators, non-electric detonators or a minimum of 50 gr/ft (10 g/m) detonating cord. Stingers are specially designed for use in small diameter boreholes.

Boosters:
Ranges from 90 grams to 900 grams (3 oz to 2 lbs)

Stingers:
10 grams (0.363 oz)
20 grams (0.705 oz)

Dynamite
